I’ve been writing a lot about search engine optimization and how to get targeted traffic to your site… but there are of course other aspects that you should look into if you want your online presence to be successful. If you read what internet gurus say about internet marketing, then you already know it’s all about traffic and conversion. I must agree with that… these are very important aspects to online success. There are other aspects but without these two – traffic and conversion – there’s no money!
Creating highly converting content is difficult… you must write good sales text that really makes the reader want to take action, and of course present it in a way that makes your site look very professional. However, there are a few tricks that you can use to drastically improve your conversion rate. One of these tricks is the Belcher Button. This button is a highly converting, tested and proven buy button. It has been around for a little while now but too many still don’t know about it. Perry Belcher is the mind behind this button. Here is the page: Belcher Button

Check it out: it has a call-to-action, price drop (very powerful), add to cart button, add to cart text link, credit cards symbols… and of course a dashed border to make sure it really stands out from the rest of the page content. Some of you will find it ugly… I must agree it is not a very nice looking button, but it does the job… and even more! Perry Belcher has been testing this button, and other buttons for a long time and he came up to the conclusion that this is the best converting buy button he ever used.
Belcher Button Generator
However, Perry doesn’t provide any tool to generate this sort of button for your site. If you don’t know much about HTML, you need to ask a web developer to do it for you… or find a Belcher Button generator so you can create and customize one that really fits your needs. Luckily, someone created a Belcher Button generator! His name is Troy and you can find the generator here: Belcher Button Wizard
This Belcher Button generator is a real time-saver! I struggled a bit the first time I used it, but if you carefully read the instructions, you could have your button ready in just a few minutes! With this wizard you can easily customize your button: you can change the text, size and color of the border, etc. Don’t forget about the red-colored call-to-action that you should place above the Becher Button… Quite a few people forget about that one!
Anyhow, I hope this helps! If you need help to set up the Belcher Button on your site, feel free to leave a comment. I’m not a technical person but I can still help! I managed to do it for work so there’s no reason I can’t help you get yourself one for your site!

Perry is one sharp operator.
Even though this button has been used a lot it still is very effective.
Hi Gary! I agree, and I’m sure we can find some improved versions now. Anyhow, thanks for your comment!
The Belcher Button… Like many things in marketing, is a victim of fickle consumer trends. I think this style has been way overused and is no longer effective. Once it’s been in a study, plastered all over the interwebs as the hottest ticked to capture a click, its over. I mean, color trends change 3x a year ~ why would a lame-o QVC style button still work after 18 months. It doesn’t.
Plus you have to consider if you are marketing to WalMart shoppers vs. Patagonia shoppers. HUGE differences in appeal. The Belcher, at this state in the game is tired, garish and so common, that it blends in with the shopping landscape.
